"The story of BellaMoon® began when my daughter Bella was born. Typical of many breastfed babies, she was feeding on demand every 2 hours or so day and night, and she would not settle in her cot or crib.
In order to cope with the intensity of breastfeeding, I researched how other mothers coped. I discovered the universal lateral breastfeeding position - an instinctually protective and naturally bonding position - which is practised by millions of mothers around the world to nurture and rest. However, despite the enormous benefits of this position, it can give rise to discomfort when lying in the one position feeding continuously.
So, I created BellaMoon, a multi-functional breastfeeding bed, which is designed around this wonderful lateral breastfeeding position. BellaMoon Full Moon allows Mothers and babies to side by side with the added benefit of intense comfort to mother’s neck, shoulders, back and hips - where I found most uncomfortable during feeding. Both the Full Moon and Half Moon benefit from the presence of a soft yet structural removable wedge - this is a key feature I felt very strongly about from the outset - it creates an awareness of babys position. The outer edge of the baby wedge also helps prevent baby from rolling out of bed.
After designing BellaMoon, I created and used the early prototypes with my little girl Bella - we both loved it.
This is where the story of BellaMoon began. 2.5 years later with a huge amount of research, design, development and testing, it was ready to launch...

What BellaMoon Mums have to say
“This amazing new Half-Moon was a GAME-CHANGER for us! It is simply amazing! Safe, comfortable and a must-have product for all breastfeeding mamas.
We really can't recommend it enough.
Jenny and baby Freddie
"I have been using the Half Moon for a number of weeks now and I absolutely LOVE it! When we use BellaMoon, I feel relaxed and confident, thanks to the removable wedge. It is soft and comfortable for my baby. And it is a beautiful product, so it looks lovely in our room.
My only regret is that I didn't have it sooner!"
Heather and baby Sid
“For all Mummy's to be and new Mummy's this is a MUST HAVE product which is endlessly helpful in providing the best support for breastfeeding...
I can't recommend this product enough as it's been a vital part in my breastfeeding journey and has made it even more enjoyable than I imagined!”
Megan-Louise and her baby Elvie
“Using BellaMoon I can relax my whole body as I breastfeed making it more enjoyable for both me and baby. It has also improved the ability to latch laterally due to the extra support for baby. There aren't many baby products that are as much for Mum as they are for baby.
BellaMoon is a MUST-HAVE!”
Kerry and baby Rory
“I have been suffering with PGP/SPD, so sleep was non existent prior to BellaMoon due to the pain when I was lying down. I have found BellaMoon to be fantastic, far better than any other pregnancy pillow I have tried (and there have been a lot!) ”
Jaime and her baby bump
“My baby knows that BellaMoon means snuggle time and she loves it! I really cherish this time with her. BellaMoon time really is every Mothers dream!”
Julie and baby Fiadh
“It is so lovely to feel relaxed when breastfeeding on my side instead of my neck and shoulders being in pain.
The Full Moon is oh so soooo comfortable! ”
Karen and her baby girl
“As a Dad, I love the Half Moon in particular, having a barrier between baby and I when my wife is breastfeeding on her side makes me much happier about night-time feeding. Plus I know that my wife feels more safe too”
